Kanji was a painter who also published some of his art in woodblock printed books. This gallery shows thirteen of the flower pictures that he included in a 1933 picture book entitled Kanji Shōhin Gashū (i.e., Collection of Sketches by Kanji). Kanji drew his flower subjects in a true-to-life way which was a popular drawing style for artists working at that time.
